Why It Matters Here
Toledo and Oregon have many homes from the 1940s through the 1970s with original bathrooms: cast iron tubs, tile set in mortar beds, galvanized supply lines and no exhaust fan at all. How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most full bathroom remodels typically take a couple of weeks of on-site work after materials and fixtures arrive. Smaller refresh projects can go faster, while projects with layout changes, custom glass or extensive hidden damage take longer. We give you a realistic time range in writing and update you if anything changes.
What waterproofing do you use in showers?
We use modern waterproofing systems, such as sheet or liquid-applied membranes over cement board or foam board, rather than relying on tile and grout to keep water out. Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own. The membrane is what protects the framing and subfloor behind the shower.
Do you remodel bathrooms in older Toledo homes?
Yes. Older homes in Toledo, East Toledo, Oregon and Northwood are a big part of our work. We are prepared for plaster walls, mortar-bed tile, galvanized pipe and floors that are out of level, and we will explain any issues we find before continuing so you can make informed decisions.
