We add blocking in the walls for future grab bars, so safety upgrades can be added later without opening the walls again.

Can my shower be curbless?
Often, yes, but it depends on the floor structure. A curbless shower requires the shower area to be lower than the bathroom floor so water drains properly. In homes with wood joists, we may recess the subfloor. On concrete slabs, the slab is cut and re-poured. We assess this during the estimate.
