What is the difference between design-build and design-bid-build?
In design-bid-build, you hire a designer first and then collect contractor bids on completed plans, often with little cost input during design. With design-build, one team handles both design and construction, so pricing, feasibility and scheduling are considered throughout. That typically means fewer surprises and a single point of accountability.
Do I still get to choose my own finishes and materials?
Absolutely. We guide you through selections and show how each choice affects cost, durability and maintenance, but the decisions are yours. Having pricing in front of you while choosing makes it easier to balance a few splurges with sensible savings elsewhere in the project.
Is design-build only for large projects?
It's most valuable for projects with structural changes, multiple trades or many design decisions, such as additions, whole-home renovations and major kitchens.
