What is the difference between insert and full-frame replacement?
An insert window fits inside your existing frame, which saves interior and exterior trim and is less invasive. A full-frame replacement removes everything down to the rough opening, which lets us fix hidden rot, add insulation and flash properly. We recommend full-frame when the existing frames are damaged or out of square.
Are triple-pane windows worth it in Northwest Ohio?
Triple-pane glass adds insulation and sound reduction and reduces cold glass surfaces in winter. For many Northwest Ohio homes, a quality double-pane Low-E window performs well, while triple-pane is worth considering on north-facing walls, lakefront homes or near busy roads. We will help you weigh comfort against budget.
Can you replace windows in winter?
Yes. We replace windows one opening at a time, so each is only open for a short period. We work efficiently, protect the interior and close each opening before moving to the next. Cold-weather installs are common in the Toledo area and keep your home comfortable.
Will new windows reduce condensation?
New windows usually reduce condensation because the interior glass stays warmer. If your home has high indoor humidity, some condensation can still form during very cold snaps.
