Why It Matters Here
Many homes in Toledo, Oregon and Northwood have plaster walls, settled floors and corners that are far from 90 degrees, especially in houses built before the 1960s. Cabinets set directly against those surfaces will rack out of square. Clay soils in the former Great Black Swamp can cause slight foundation movement that shows up as sloped kitchen floors. We plan for that with careful shimming and scribing. In humid lake-area summers, we also recommend moisture-resistant boxes and sealed edges near sinks and dishwashers.

Yes. We regularly install cabinets homeowners purchase from home centers or cabinet dealers. We will review the order before installation day to confirm everything is present and sized for your room, because missing fillers or panels are a common cause of delays.
How long does cabinet installation take?
A typical kitchen cabinet installation takes a few days, depending on the number of boxes, the condition of the walls and how much trim work is involved. Bathroom vanity and laundry cabinet installs are usually shorter. We will give you a realistic time range with your written quote.
Do you install cabinets in older Toledo homes with uneven walls?
Yes, and it is a large part of our work. Older homes in Toledo, East Toledo and Oregon often have plaster walls and floors that slope. We shim base cabinets level, scribe fillers to the wall and adjust uppers so doors line up, even when the room itself is not square.
What happens between cabinet installation and countertops?
Once the base cabinets are set level and secured, the countertop fabricator templates them. For stone countertops, fabrication typically takes a short period after templating. Laminate and butcher block may be installed sooner. We coordinate that timing so your kitchen is out of service for as short a period as possible.
